Court Reporting Voicewriting Academy (“CRVA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website, apply to CRVA, or use our training program, how we use it, and the choices you have. We wrote it in plain language because you deserve to understand it.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details such as your first and last name, email address, and phone number, when you start an application or contact us.
- Application information such as your background, goals, work history, and where you plan to work, when you complete the full application.
- Scheduling details when you book an Admissions Conversation, such as your chosen date and time.
- Enrollment and account information if you enroll, such as your login details, course progress, assignments, transcripts you submit, assessment results, and feedback.
- Messages and questions you send us, including questions you ask through the CRVA Navigator learning-support tool.
Payment information
Tuition payments and any financing are handled by third-party payment processors and financing providers, such as Stripe and any financing providers we make available. They collect and store your card or bank details under their own privacy policies. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data such as your browser type, device type, IP address, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit.
- Cookies and similar technologies that help our pages work, remember your session, measure visits, and understand which pages are useful. See section 5.
- Security checks. Our forms use a bot-protection service (Cloudflare Turnstile) that may process technical information about your browser to confirm you are a real person.
2. How we use your information
- To review your application and schedule your Admissions Conversation.
- To contact you about your application, enrollment, and next steps.
- To deliver the program: give you access, track your progress, review assignments, provide feedback, and offer learning support.
- To process tuition, payments, and financing, with the help of our payment providers.
- To send you updates and helpful information about CRVA. You can opt out at any time.
- To improve our website, lessons, and student experience.
- To keep our website and systems secure and prevent fraud or misuse.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
3. Learning support and automated tools
CRVA Navigator, our Academic Companion, provides on-demand answers to routine learning questions. It may be powered by third-party automated technology, including artificial intelligence services. Questions you type into CRVA Navigator may be processed by those providers to generate a response. Please do not enter sensitive personal information, such as financial, health, or government identification details, into CRVA Navigator. Questions that need more help are escalated for Founder-directed guidance.
4. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run CRVA:
- Service providers who help us operate, such as our website, funnel, and customer-management platform (FG Funnels, built on HighLevel), email and text-messaging tools, scheduling tools, video hosting, learning-support tools, payment processors, and financing providers. They may use your information only to provide their services to us.
- Legal and safety reasons, when required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of CRVA, our students, or others.
- Business changes, if CRVA is involved in a merger, sale, or transfer of assets, in which case your information may transfer as part of that transaction.
- With your permission, in any other situation where you ask us to share it.
5. Cookies and analytics
We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to keep our pages working, remember your session, and understand how visitors use our site. These may include analytics and advertising tools, such as those offered by Google or Meta, that help us understand how visitors find and use our site and measure our advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work properly without them.
6. Text messages
If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, we may send messages about your application, Admissions Conversation, enrollment, and program updates. If you separately opt in, we may also send occasional marketing messages, such as CRVA news and announcements. Each type of message has its own opt-in checkbox, and neither is required. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase or of enrollment.
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. See the Text Messages section of our Terms & Conditions for program details.
7. How long we keep your information
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. That includes the length of your program access, plus any additional time needed to meet legal, tax, accounting, or record-keeping requirements. When we no longer need it, we delete or de-identify it.
8. How we protect your information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No website or system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your login details private.
9. Your choices and rights
- Email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
- Text messages: reply STOP.
- Access, correction, and deletion: you may ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on where you live, including under Texas law, you may have additional rights. We will respond as required by applicable law.
To make a request, contact us using the details in section 12. We may need to verify your identity before responding. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response.
10. Younger applicants
CRVA is intended for adults and for students 18 or older, or younger applicants who apply with the involvement of a parent or guardian. Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, please contact us so we can delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above, and for significant changes we may notify you by email or a notice on our website.
